錯誤二
Watching TV was most popular, with more than 90 percent of children and 85% teenagers doing this activity.That high percentages contrasted sharply with the low ones in terms of taking art classes, ranging from 40% to 60%.
解析：本段第二句使用了that 做指代，避免重復(fù)，但是that 后面的名詞為復(fù)數(shù)形式，前后形式不一致。
修改：.......Those high percentages contrasted sharply with the low ones in terms of taking art classes, ranging from 40% to 60%.
錯誤三
a. People used to live in houses with huge outdoor areas like a garden or backyard, but this is no longer possible for many people as a result of the relentless development of urbanization. I believe that is a positive trend.
解析：本段第二句表達(dá)個人觀點(diǎn)，that 在本句中含義不清，引發(fā)歧義：i believe that ( 賓語從句引導(dǎo)詞） vs that is a positive trend（ 從句主語）.
修改：.... I believe that this change/ it is a positive trend.
b. One reason for this trend is many people think it is more relaxing to spend their off-work time with their friends in such places as tearooms or cafes.
解析：本句為表語從句，從句缺少連接詞that, 引發(fā)歧義：one reason for this trend is many people vs many people think.
修改：One reason for this trend is that many people think it is more relaxing to spend their off-work time with their friends in such places as tearooms or cafes.
錯誤四
Throwing away breeds over-consumption, that in turn will cause many problems for us.
解析：本句為定語從句， that 不能放在逗號之后，引導(dǎo)非限定性定語從句
修改：Throwing away breeds over-consumption, which in turn will cause many problems for us.
在雅思寫作中that比較關(guān)系常出現(xiàn)，名詞單復(fù)需對應(yīng)(that/those），從句that多保留，逗號that不連用。
